Deciding what to name your child is difficult at the best of times.

As we've seen in recent weeks, several parents have expressed their regret after naming their children after Game of Thrones characters following the series' shocking ending.

Meanwhile, others may choose to avoid naming their little ones Olive, Olivia, Leo, and Poppy, given their rising popularity across the UK, according to the Office for National Statistics.

So, this might explain why several Love Island contestants opted for far some rather unique monikers for their baby dolls during Wednesday night's "baby challenge".

As per Love Island tradition, the challenge involves the remaining couples in the villa each being given a mechanical doll to look after.

During Wednesday's episode, this year's islanders met their "children" and got to grips with the demands of parenting.

While contestant Ovie Soko might have enjoyed dressing his mechanical doll in bucket hats, boxer Tommy Fury practised his skills throwing his and partner Molly-Mae's "child" in the air, much to her dismay.

Here are all the names the Love Island contestants named their dolls this year:

India Reynolds and Ovie Soko

The couple may have only recently coupled up but they appeared to take to parenting quite easily.

During the show, the couple dressed the doll in bucket hats and printed shirts, in keeping with the 6ft7inch basketball player's dress sense, and chose a rather unique name for their little one.

At the beginning of the challenge, the couple decided to name their "baby" Raymond Junior.

Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins

Following their night in the hideaway and disagreement over Curtis' advice to Jordan encouraging him to admit his true feelings to India, the couple settled their differences and decided on a familiar name in the villa for their doll.

The name? Bella, which was presumably inspired by fellow contestant Belle Hassan.

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury

The influencer and boxer appeared to be naturals when it came to parenting, with the pair evenly splitting their caring duties during the programme.

When it came to their doll's name, the pair settled on the simple yet adorable name of Tommy Jr, named after his "father".

Chris Taylor and Harley Brash

Following their argument during Tuesday night's episode of the show, the couple appeared to have made amends and enjoyed taking care of their doll together.

Dressing their "daughter" in pink baby clothes with contrasting red-rimmed sunglasses, the couple named the mechanical doll Penny-Sue Tinkerbell.

Anton Danyluk and Belle Hassan

With a love of fashion and the finer things in life, the couple settled on a luxury fashion brand-inspired name for their mechanical doll.

The pair named their "son" Valentino, naturally.

Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea

Days after Amber rejected former islander Michael Griffith's advances following their tumultuous relationship in previous weeks, the 21-year-old soon settled into her parenting duties with new partner Greg.

When it came to naming their "child", the pair chose the name Kobe, presumably inspired by NBA former professional basketball player Kobe Bryant. After all, Amber's best friend and former partner Ovie is also a basketball player.
