Love Island’s Alexandra finally couples up with her ideal partner

‘I always knew there was someone out there for me’

Entering the villa five weeks into this year’s series of Love Island, Alexandra Cane quickly became a fan favourite as viewers watched her try to find her perfect match.

While Alexandra’s turbulent relationship with Dr Alex transfixed the nation up until the very end of the show, today she revealed that she’s finally coupled up with her ideal partner.

Her one true love, her ultimate soulmate and companion is... Pot Noodle.

In a video posted on her Instagram account, Alexandra shared with her 1.1 million followers that she’s joined up with Pot Noodle to promote the brand’s new Pot Rice pots.

Anyone who kept up to date with the fourth series of the reality show will have noticed Alexandra’s penchant for noodles, which she was filmed eating in the villa on multiple occasions.

However, in the new Pot Noodle advert, she implies that she now prefers to eat Pot Rice instead.

“I’m sorry to do this to you, it’s just they’re 100 per cent my type on paper,” Alexandra tells the pot of noodles on the table in front of her.

She then walks over to the pot of rice on the counter, saying: “I know we’ve only just met but, to me you’re perfect in every way.”

She ends the video by saying: “I always knew there was someone out there for me.”

Many people have been commenting on Alexandra’s partnership with Pot Noodle, with one person writing on Instagram: “Knew this wouldn’t take long.”

Another person described the collaboration as a “perfect coupling”.

Earlier this year, a study conducted by a group of economists concluded that taking part in Love Island can be more lucrative than completing an undergraduate degree at Oxford or Cambridge University.

The researchers, from Frontier Economics, stated that contestants can expect to earn as much as £1.1 million from sponsorships and paid appearances.

On the other hand, an Oxbridge undergraduate may acquire an average return of £815,000.

Alexandra recently condemned the reality show for not featuring a greater diversity of body shapes, explaining that “bigger sizes clearly weren’t accepted”.
