Kristen Bell and her children have celebrated the 16th anniversary of Dax Shepard’s sobriety with a sentimental post.

On Tuesday, the Frozen actress shared a photo of a handmade card for Shepard from one of the couple’s daughters on Instagram.

“Happy sobriety birthday Daddy,” the card reads on the front, with a drawing of Harry Potter character Ronald Weasley pictured inside.

“Today is my husband's 16th sobriety birthday,” Bell captioned the photo. “My daughter woke him up with this sign, and a sketch of the one and only Ronald Weasley (absolutely random, and also perfect).”

The actress then added her own congratulatory message, writing: “Happy birthday Daxy. Thank you for dedicating your life to the hard and wonderful work of sobriety, so that we could share it with you. Xo K, L & D.”

The supportive message prompted hundreds of comments from fellow celebrities and fans, who also took the opportunity to applaud the actor.

“This is perfect. Happy birthday daddy Dax. Congratulations. It’s a great thing. You know,” Selma Blair commented.

Mindy Kaling wrote: “Wow, this is so awesome.”

In 2019, Shepard, who shares daughters Lincoln, seven, and Delta, five, with Bell opened up about his sobriety and how it lead him to his relationship with the actress during an episode of People’s Party with Talib Kweli.

“I wouldn’t have a family without sobriety first and foremost,” he said. “Bell would’ve never signed up for the old version of me.”
