Your support makes all the difference.Jennifer Lopez has expressed the disappointment she feels at having to postpone her wedding to Alex Rodriguez because of the coronavirus pandemic.
On Tuesday, the Hustlers star appeared on the Today show, where she revealed that all of the plans for her future wedding are on hold.
“Nobody knows,” Lopez told Hoda Kotb when asked about what is going to happen to her wedding date. “Nobody knows because, really, there's no planning right now. You just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out, and it's disappointing on one level. You know, after the Super Bowl and after ‘World of Dance,’ after we finished filming it, I planned to take time off.
"Which is what we're doing kind of right now, but at the same time, you know, we had a lot of plans for this summer and this year. But everything's kind of on hold right now.”
However, according to the singer, while she is “heartbroken” that the plans she and Rodriguez's had won’t happen, she is confident that their future plans will be even better.
"I'm a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans. But I'm also like: 'You know what? God has a bigger plan.' So we just have to wait and see," the 50-year-old said. "Maybe it's going to be better. I have to believe that it will be."
The singer previously told Oprah Winfrey that she originally wanted to get married quickly after getting engaged to Rodriguez, before eventually realising there is no need to rush.
“It’s so funny because when we first got engaged, I was like: ‘Oh, we’re going to get married in a couple of months,’” she told Winfrey. “Like your old thinking comes right back, like all that hopeless romantic that made me get married three times.”
