Jennifer Aniston shares heartwarming belated birthday message to Courteney Cox

Jennifer Aniston has wished her friend and former Friends co-star Courteney Cox happy birthday in a touching Instagram story.

The actor celebrated her 56th birthday on Monday 15 June.

On Tuesday, Aniston shared a series of snaps of Cox on her Instagram story.

“Happy birthday to this amazing human,” she wrote over the top of a photograph of Cox alone sitting in front of an open laptop.

“I love you, CC,” Aniston added over another photograph of the two of them together.

“Sorry it’s late,” she wrote over a third snap of Cox, adding an emoji of a woman with her palm over her face.

The final photograph was a still of the two women painting each other’s nails in Friends, over which Aniston wrote: "The end".

Aniston’s birthday wishes comes after the actors’ other co-star from the cult sitcom, Lisa Kudrow, shared a series of photographs of herself with Cox.

“Happy birthday @courteneycoxofficial,” Kudrow wrote in the caption below.

“My genius generous gorgeous grounded great good FRIEND I love you.”

Cox herself shared a video on Instagram to mark the day that shows her running and diving into open water in slow motion.

“Gracefully diving into this next year,” she wrote in the caption below, prompting thousands of comments and birthday wishes from fans.

“Happy birthday CC!” commented US TV host Chelsea Handler.

The actor Octavia Spencer added: “Happy birthday”.

Other famous faces to comment on Cox’s post included actor David Spade, model Poppy Delevingne, and actor Kate Hudson, who commented with a series of heart emojis.
