Hilary Duff has announced she is pregnant with her third child.

On Saturday, the actor confirmed the news on her Instagram account by posting a boomerang video of her husband Matthew Koma rubbing her growing baby bump.

She captioned the post, “We are growing!!! Mostly me.”

Many of the Lizzie McGuire star’s fans and famous friends left messages of support in the comments section, including actor Mandy Moore, who wrote: “Yay!! The best news!!! Love you two and can’t wait to be mamas together!”

Glee star Lea Michele added: “Yes!!!! Congratulations!!” alongside a pink heart emoji, while Busy Philipps wrote: “Woo!!! Congratulations mama!”

Koma also shared the same video on his own Instagram account, writing in the caption: “Lol quarantine was fun. Baby #3 - 2021.”

The baby will be the couple’s second child together. Duff and Koma welcomed a daughter called Banks in October 2018, and the actor has a son called Luca from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie.

The got married in 2019 in a secret wedding, which they later shared on social media.

Earlier this month, Duff said she believed that having children helped change her career for the better.

In an interview with Grazia, she explained that before becoming a mother she felt “big frustrations” over not being cast in roles because of her association with Lizzie McGuire.

“I would get to producer call-back and they’d be like, ‘She’s so great and she gave us the best reading and blah blah blah, but she’s Hilary Duff…’,” she explained.

“I’m at such a different place in my life now, being a mother and a wife – it doesn’t weigh on me anymore.

“I don’t feel like people only see me that way, but [even] when they do, I feel appreciative of it because she was very impactful on so many people’s lives.”
