SMALL boys who may have undescended testicles should be investigated and have the problem surgically corrected before they reach the age of 10. Otherwise they run an increased risk of developing testicular cancer later in life. Recent research by the Imperial Cancer Research Fund showed that men with testicular cancer were four times more likely to have an undescended testicle than those who were cancer-free.
