FEMIDOM, the female condom, has been called cold, uncomfortable and unaesthetic. But a GP from Chelmsford, Essex, has pinpointed another possible drawback. Dr John Booth reports in General Practitioner that when a patient attended for a cervical smear, a rubber ring was found in her vagina. The woman said she had used Femidom the previous evening. The inner ring of the condom had strayed from the polyurethane surround.
