IN FUTURE, patients could become vaccinated against disease by chewing on a leaf, according to a report in Pulse. The world's first plant-derived vaccine has been developed by British scientists, using a genetically adapted virus. It could eventually be used to immunise against flu, polio, hepatitis and even HIV.
