A total of 32 more people were confirmed with swine flu in the UK yesterday, bringing the number of those affected so far to 278. The Health Protection Agency confirmed nine new cases in England shortly after Scottish Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon announced 23 new cases north of the border.
The nine new cases include four children in the West Midlands all linked to school outbreaks. Of the 23 Scottish cases, 13 were Rangers fans who travelled on a supporters' bus to see the league decider against Dundee United. Seven other confirmed cases were contacts of this group.
