Hackney hails arts
Hackney Council is to hold an arts festival in July. It will include opera, jazz, visual arts, classical and pop music. Central Hall in Mare Street is to be reopened after 33 years to stage some concerts, including the jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, stars from the English National Opera, the Dubliners and the London Community Gospel Choir.
