From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she bought her son, Moses, a “boob puzzle” to keep him occupied in lockdown.

Writing on the blog for her wellness website Goop, the actor explained how she’s been living during the pandemic.

“Home is where the heart is,” she wrote.

“Right now, it’s also where the work, dates, entertainment, and summer vacation are.”

Paltrow explained that she’s learned to embrace “this new normal”.

“I’ve found hacks that make WFH a little less taxing, tips for combating recipe fatigue, ways to move my body and quiet my mind and make sheltering in place feel like a holiday without ever stepping foot on a plane.”

It was while writing about her favourite games for staying at home that she revealed the present for her son.

“There’s been a lot of Trivial Pursuit happening at the house,” she said.

“And I got Moses the boob puzzle just for fun.”

The puzzle she references is available on Goop and costs £45.

It is currently sold out, but features several illustrations of breasts by Brooklyn-based artist Julia Heffernan.

Paltrow and her 14-year-old son, whom she had with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, are very close.

In April, the mother-of-two shared an Instagram tribute to mark his 14th birthday.

“He has the most unique way of looking at the world and expressing himself,” she wrote.

“Mosey, I could not be more proud of you in every way. You conquer all you set out to do, you never quit, you are immensely talented and a great friend.

“I hope you never stop hugging me goodbye when you go into the next room. I love you.”
