Gigi Hadid has responded to rumours that she has had plastic surgery, confirming that she has "never" done anything to her face.

Speaking to the camera as part of Vogue's Beauty Secrets YouTube series, the 25-year-old recalled how, at the start of her career, she often did her own makeup.

"When I look back on my first red carpets when I didn't have makeup artists I would obviously do my own makeup," she said.

"Now it's like, people pull up those pictures and are like, 'Oh, Gigi's nose looks different in these pictures than now."

The model, who recently welcomed her first child with boyfriend Zayn Malik, went on to say how people would use old photographs to start rumours that she had undergone plastic surgery.

"Or, they'll talk about something with my face," she said.

"Like, 'This has changed on Gigi.' It's really like, that's the power of makeup. Like, I've never done anything to my face... I would just put it everywhere. Then it just looks, it's all one shape."

The model's comments come after she told Vogue in an interview that she felt no need to rush to return to her pre-pregnancy body for the cover shoot.

“I know that I’m not as small as I was before, but I also am a very realistic thinker," she told the publication.

"I straight up was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll shoot a Vogue cover, but I’m obviously not going to be a size zero,’ nor do I, at this point, feel like I need to be back to that.

“I also think it’s a blessing of this time in fashion that anyone who says that I have to be that can suck it.”
