Most users don't like Facebook's new Graph Search tool

Users reject the new search function because of "privacy" concerns

Most Facebook users do not want to use Facebook's new search function because of "privacy" worries, according to a survey.

The results of a flash poll, conducted by www.myvouchercodes.co.uk, found that 67 per cent of respondents thought Facebook's new Graph Search tool was a bad idea, while 28 per cent said that they liked the idea of the new function.

Despite reassurances from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg that the function does not change any privacy settings or make anything public that wasn't already public, the majority (77 per cent) of those who didn't like the function said it was because they thought it would have an effect on the privacy of their profile.

The results, taken from 1,092 UK-based Facebook users, come after speculation that inadvertantly shared information could be found with Graph Search much more easily than was previously possible.
