From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Incense has become a crutch for Pokémon Go trainers stuck at home - a way to attract Pokémon in relative dead zones far away from Pokéstops and Lure Modules.
Unfortunately though, this tactic is incredibly wasteful, so now’s the time to stop using it.
A Reddit user crawled the game’s code and found this pertinent section (below), which essentially reveals that Incense spawns 1 Pokémon every 5 minutes while standing still and 1 Pokémon every 1 minute/200 metres while moving.
“Damn I shouldn't have wasted all my free ones while sitting inside my house,” one commenter lamented.
Another player who had been doing the same added: "I have a pokestop across the street, just barely too far to reach from inside the house, it's infuriating."
All the quirks of the game, which were never explained in the tutorial are slowly coming to light now, including how to control whether your Eevee evolves into a Jolteon, Flareon or Vaporeon.
