This second annual event is a gastronomical wonderland with the world’s best chefs congregating from 13 nations. New to the program are representatives from Turkey, Lebanon and Japan, to teach master classes and deliver memorable bites for a variety of discerning palates with attention given to Cuisine Vitale (dishes that use fresh ingredients to promote well-being), vegetarians and game. This year’s culinary lineup of Michelin star-winning chefs includes Charlie Trotter, Dieter Kaufmann, Paco Roncero, Alain Passard and many more. The Gourmet Abu Dhabi Star Awards, voted by the public in January and judged by a respected panel, will be presented at Gala dinner on February 15. Awards are given to a range of chefs and industry executives who have honed their talents in the Middle East.

Gulfood: Bigger, Better, Business

Gulfood is the largest event devoted to Middle-Eastern ingredients and business practices for the food and beverage industry in the Middle East, North Africa and Indian sub-continent. The Salon Cuisine has six sections: Food & Drink, World Food, Seafood, Gourmet & Fine Food, Fresh Fruit & Vegetables and Organic & Healthy Eating and 75 international pavilions. National Pancake Day

The second annual competition, co-located with Gourmet World Shanghai (an industry tradeshow devoted to international gourmet foods), is a continental event organized by the Bocuse d’Or committee to pre-select the four best teams that will compete at the annual prestigious final Bocuse d’Or 2011 in Lyon, France in January.
