Nothing says romance than proposing to your significant other on Valentine’s Day… with a doughnut engagement ring.

Whether you decide to actually take the plunge and go down on one knee with this iced pastry or you’d rather celebrate the single life by enjoying its sweet taste all by yourself, you can’t deny these mini doughnuts look pretty darn delicious.

Deliveroo has teamed up with Doughnut Time to create a pair of mini doughnuts especially for Valentine’s Day that not only look delightful, but will also go down a treat too.

There are two engagement-related doughnuts in the range: One that’s been designed to look like a silver wedding band and the second inspired by the ring of none other than bride-to-be Meghan Markle.

The more ornate of the two mini doughnuts has been decorated in gold with a sparkling, strawberry-flavoured diamond on top.

We have to admit, if anyone ever proposed to us with one of these rings, chances are we’d be too distracted by the doughnut to pay much attention.

Joe Groves, head of consumer communications at Deliveroo, spoke about their latest loved-up offering.

“Whether you’re cuddling up to bae, or watching a movie in solidarity with friends at home, we at Deliveroo think these doughnut engagement rings are a super fun and tasty way to celebrate the one, or the many special people in your life this Valentine’s Day,” he said.

Tom Anderson, director at Doughnut Time, also chimed in, saying: “With the help of Deliveroo, we are distributing doughnut love across the capital, giving Londoners every reason to treat their loved one this Valentine’s Day.

“These beauties are sure to sell out quick, so dough-nut miss out!”

The pair of mini doughnuts will be available to buy from Monday February 12 from Doughnut Time via Deliveroo for £9.50 and will be available while stocks last.

However, doughnuts aren’t the only unusual food on offer that people can use to express their love this Valentine’s Day.

Lovebirds in California can now buy cannabis-infused chocolates for their other halves, which will surely take their love to new heights.
