He’s now sparked a debate by revealing his contentious tea-making technique.
The cuppa is undoubtedly one of the most treasured beverages in Britain, with there supposedly being 24 million different ways to make the perfect brew.
However, many Good Morning Britain viewers were left aghast when Morgan revealed that he always pours the milk in first before adding the teabag and hot water.
“You have to put the milk in first,” he said emphatically. “Then you put the teabag in, then you put the hot water, otherwise you can’t possibly tell.”
A number of people on Twitter disagreed with Morgan's stance.
“Well there goes any credibility you guys had left,” one person wrote in response to Morgan’s statement.
“Who puts milk in first. Really??? Come on,” another individual commented.
Morgan claimed that his method would result in a “Classic British” cup of tea, ranking four different brews placed alongside one another.
While some couldn’t stand the idea of putting milk in first when making a cuppa, others did concur with Morgan’s point of view.
“I agree. It gives me the perfect measure every time and it stops the scummy floaty bits that I get when people make me tea with milk last,” someone remarked.
“Milk first… The other way is just crazy talk,” another person agreed.
Alan Carr recently caused quite a stir while appearing on The Great Celebrity Bake Off, as viewers spotted him pouring a generous amount of milk into a cup of tea.
“Anyone else distraught by how much milk Alan Carr just threw into that cup of tea,” a Bake Off fan tweeted.
“I have decided that Alan Carr should never ever make a cup of tea ever again,” someone else harshly said.
