From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Breaking Bad addicts suffering withdrawal symptoms since the crime drama ended in 2013 will be pleased to hear that a pop-up bar themed around the show will soon be opening its doors in east London.

But those who haven’t already scored tickets face a month-long wait to visit the bar, as ABQ is fully booked until September. Over 30,000 people have already signed up for tickets, according to its website.

Breaking Bad follows the story of a terminally ill chemistry teacher who teams up with a former student in order to cook meth in a bid to support his family and pay his medical bills. However, his goals quickly become when he becomes a king-pin.

Open for just three months from 24 July, the venue takes its name from the acronym of Albuquerque, the state where the award-winning AMC crime drama is set.

The bar will be set in an RV replicating the vehicle where Walter White and Jesse Pinkman manufactured their famous blue meth. For £30 a pop for at two hour session, guests can "cook" up their own cocktails in a van decorated chemistry lab equipment.

However, the small space means only around 20 people can fit in at any one time.

ABQ is the brainchild of Seb Lyall who recently opened the Annie The Owl bar. Following a 30,000 signature-strong petition calling for the owl bar's closure over fears that the animals wouldn't be safe near potentially drunk guests, organisers decided to swap cocktails for smoothies.
