Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Ben & Jerry's are uniting the two greatest comfort foods in a new product called the Brr-ito –a waffle cone tortilla filled with ice cream fudge drizzle and cookie crumbs.
Released on 20 April in Ben & Jerry's shops, the Brr-ito can hold two scoops of your favourite flavour, with suggested pairings including Hazed & Confused & New York Super Fudge Chunk (below) and Coffee Coffee BuzzBuzzBuzz & Chocolate Therapy.
The company said it was designed as the 'ultimate answer' to the munchies.
A Ben & Jerry's beer is also on the way, with a collaboration with brewer New Belgium leading to the creation of a 'Salted Caramel Brownie Ale' that will be released in the autumn. It's a punchy 6.3% ABV and profits will be going toward climate change charity Protect Our Winters.
The move has been criticised by utter spoilsports however, who are concerned that the company is marketing alcohol to children.
