McDonald’s fries are a staple around the world but not many have been lucky enough to try McNoodles or the pineapple oreo McFlurry, offered only by the golden arches in Colombia.

If you haven’t had the chance to try McDonald’s various global menu items, the good news is you can now - without actually travelling the globe scouting out each individual offering.

The beloved fast-food chain has just opened their newest, one-of-a-kind restaurant at their headquarters in Chicago and it promises to deliver the best McDonald’s meals from around the world.

If that weren’t exciting enough, the menu at the West Loop location will be constantly rotating to include new delicacies.

And, of course, your classic favourites including the Big Mac and McNuggets will be permanently offered on the menu.

Robert Gibbs, McDonald's chief spokesperson, said of the new location: "Everything we have done to modernise the brand over the past several years is exhibited in this restaurant."

To kick-off their first global menu, McDonald’s is offering some pretty tempting items.

One option, taken from America’s northern neighbours, is the Mighty Angus Burger from Canada. Featuring 1/3lb of Angus beef topped with a glazed poppy and sesame seed bun and a smoky Angus sauce, the Angus burger is sure to be a hit.

Also on the menu, a McSpicy Chicken Sandwich hailing from Hong Kong and the Manhattan Salad from France, which includes apples, dried cranberries, and your choice of grilled or crispy chicken.

If the previous salad seemed too healthy for your taste, you could opt for the Mozza Salad, also from France. Swapping lettuce for pasta, this salad includes roasted tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, rocket, and your choice of chicken.

Perhaps the most exciting of the offerings, this new branch will offer Cheese and Bacon Loaded Fries all the way from Australia.

A take on the already-perfect McDonald’s french fries, this version is covered in warm melted cheese and crispy bacon bits.

And, because dessert is a necessity, the new menu will also feature Brazil’s version of the McFlurry - the McFlurry Prestígio, made with vanilla soft serve ice cream mixed with strawberry sauce and chocolate-covered coconut pieces.

Chicago’s McDonald’s will also have trained baristas on staff, where you can enjoy the Australian-style McCafé coffee - without travelling to Australia.

The new location is at 110 N Carpenter St, Chicago, IL 60607.

Unfortunately, there is currently no word on when the Halloumi McMuffins will be making an appearance.

“This is an exciting time for McDonald’s and the city of Chicago,” said owner-operator Nick Karavites.
