Cinco de Mayo: Celebrate with four Mexican-themed cocktails

The Putney Belle

40ml Casamigos Reposado
​25ml fresh Lemon Juice
​15ml agave Nectar
4 1-inch slices of roasted red bell pepper
8-10 coriander ceaves
1 chilli slice

Muddle pepper, chilli & coriander. Add other ingredients. Shake and double strain into cubed ice filled, Cajun salt half-rimmed rocks glass. Garnish with 1 slice of roasted red bell pepper and lemon peel through skewer.

Mexican mimosa with casamigos blanco

1oz Casamigos Blanco Tequila
1oz blood orange juice 
2 serrano slices 
top off with Prosecco 
thick rim of salt, sugar, Tajin mixture (equal parts)
 

Combine all ingredients into tin shaker except the Prosecco. Muddle serrano. Add ice. Shake vigorously for 4-6 seconds. Fine strain into champagne flute. Top off with chilled Prosecco. Garnish with upside down blood orange peel.

Lavender spritzer with casamigos blanco

2oz Casamigos Blanco Tequila 
1.5oz lavender syrup  
.5oz fresh lemon juice 
.5oz grapefruit juice 
2 dashes lavender bitters 

top off with grapefruit soda water 

Add all ingredients into shaker. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Strain into Collins glass. Add fresh ice. Garnish with lavender sprig and lemon peel

Jalisco mule with casamigos blanco

2oz Casamigos Blanco Tequila
1oz fresh lime juice
1oz REAL ginger puree
4 basil leaves
top off with ginger beer 

Combine all ingredients in tin shaker. Muddle herbs. Add ice. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Fine strain into copper mug or rocks glass. Add fresh ice. Top off with ginger beer. Garnish with lime wheel and candied ginger.
