The largest international organic wine event, MUNDUSvini BioFach International Organic Wine Award, took place on February 17 in Nürnberg, Germany with 622 organic wines from 18 countries competing for sliver, gold and grand gold medals.

An international jury of wine experts rated the wines based on smell and taste using the 100-point system devised by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the International Association of Oenologists (UIOE).

And, the Grand Gold medals, wines that received 95 points or more, went to:

2008 Lieserer Rosenlay Riesling Spätlese feinherb Weingut Hubertushof GbR, Lieser (Mosel), Germany

2008 Stu?lb Gelber Muscateller edelsu?ss Weingut Stu?lb, Zell (Mosel), Germany
