Weekly beauty gift guide: fragrances for him and her
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The big holiday rush is drawing closer -- to make Christmas shopping a bit easier this year, here is a first selection of special beauty editions hitting stores at the end of this month.
For Her
Lancôme's holiday editions center around the French label's perfumes, ranging from Hypnôse to Trésor, Miracle, Ô and Magnifique, including the respective eau de parfum, body milk and a mascara (sets priced from €51 to €75).

Cacharel's gift sets are slightly less expensive, with their Scarlett edition including the scent as well as two body creams and retailing at €49. The beauty label will also launch sets around their Amor Amor, Noa, Loulou and Anaïs Anaïs fragrances (none of them selling above €58). So-called 'miniature editions,' featuring just the respective perfume and retailing at €35 each, will also be introduced.

Viktor & Rolf have launched their new fragrance, Eau Mega, this month but their Christmas edition will still feature their best-selling Flower Bomb, probably a safer bet to drive holiday sales. The set, retailing at €87, will also include the Bomblicious shower gel and body milk.

Finally, Armani's holiday edition is maybe the most glamorous of the bunch. Under the motto 'Red Carpet,' translating into a festive, red-themed packaging, Armani Code and the new Idole fragrance will be put on the market. Both come with shower gels and body mils and cost just under €67.

For Him
The Italian brand will also cater for men this Christmas (or for women this Christmas shopping season): the classics Aqua di Gio, Eau pour Homme, and Armani Code will be re-issued in holiday sets. Prices range from €66 to €78,90.

Lancôme has also launched a men's gift set, which will feature the Hypnôse Homme fragrance as well as a deodorant and a shoe bag (set priced at €63).

Ralph Lauren has introduced its Polo package, including the eau de parfum and the corresponding aftershave (set selling at €89).

A more budget-conscious proposal comes from Diesel: the denim brand offers its Only for the Brave and Fuel for Life fragrances in sets of three with their corresponding aftershaves and shower gels for €53 and €59.
