From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. With just 13 days left of 2017, you’d like to think you’ve seen it all when it comes to bizarre beauty trends.
But, as it turns out there’s room for a few more as the countdown to Christmas firmly makes its way into homes and our make-up routines.
Enter, Santa hat eyebrows.
With Christmas party season well under way, you might be looking for a fun way to embrace the Yule-tide spirit.
And while we all love a classic red lip, the trend for festive eyebrows has been sweeping Instagram.
To recap, so far this month we’ve seen Christmas tree brows, bauble brows and even Rudolph-inspired arches.
But, if you’re looking for something that will really make an impact, Santa hat arches might be the one for you.
As the names suggests, this look is all about turning your furrows into an elongated version of Father Christmas’ signature hat, but there are a couple of ways to do it.
The first option being embraced by beauty bloggers is to colour your eyebrows red and then draw a white, fluffy bobble at the end of the eyebrow tail.
But, if that’s a tad too festal for your taste, others are creating their own take on the trend by painting a miniature hat midway through the brows.
Either way, your eyebrows are guaranteed to, ahem, sleigh this Christmas.
