Dramatic lips are all the rage this season and cosmetics brand Maybelline wants you to show them how you rock yours in its Facebook Deadly Dark Lip Trend face-off challenge.

The contest, which has already kicked off and will accept entries through November 12, is a joint initiative between Maybelline and the online style blog Refinery29.com. It is only open to US residents over the age of 18.

To enter, simply visit the Maybelline New York Facebook Fan Page and upload a photo of yourself rocking deadly dark lips. Judges will choose their favorite looks and award three grand prizes - designer handbags filled with Maybelline New York products with an approximate retail value of $250 - while the first 15 submissions will automatically receive free Falsies mascara.

The dark lips trend for fall hails from the runways of Paris Fashion Week where Givenchy models rocked glossy red lips, Chanel mannequins sported orange-red pouts, and Christian Dior girls wore dark, wine-colored stains.

Maybelline is hardly the only beauty brand aiming to garner buzz for its products via its Facebook Fan page. Various other cosmetics companies are increasingly turning to the social networking site to promote brand loyalty. UK brand Jemma Kidd previously gave out prizes for the best Facebook product reviews while L'Oréal Paris is currently holding an online sweepstakes centered around its latest mascara Voluminous Million Lashes.
