From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Just in time for wedding season (fingers crossed), Rixo has launched a new line of bridesmaids dresses.

The collection follows in the footsteps of the British brand’s hugely popular bridal line.

Now, fans of the cult label famous for its zany prints and flattering fits can snap up a floral frock that is perfect for any bridesmaid.

The 14-piece collection revolves around key styles and shapes. It features an array of halter-neck and V-neck dresses, some with tiered skirts and others with A-line, meaning there’s a silhouette to suit all tastes.

As for the colours, Rixo’s bridesmaid collection is comprised of dusky pastel shades such as coral, green and blue, inspired by vintage lingerie and silk slips from the 1930s.

Like with all of the brand’s designs, Rixo’s bridesmaid dresses have a distinct retro aesthetic, with many featuring delicate buttons down the middle and ruffled sleeves reminiscent of frocks worn in a 1940s film.

Prices range from £275 to £315 and the collection is available to shop online now or in Rixo’s Bridal store in Belgravia, London.

“Over the last (almost) 6 years of Rixo, we have absolutely loved seeing our ready-to-wear dresses on so many beautiful bridesmaids and bridal parties,” say Rixo founders Henrietta Rix & Orlagh McCloskey.

“We have used this time to really understand what makes the perfect bridesmaid dress – the style, fit and colours that our customers always come back to.

“Armed with this knowledge we decided to design a bridesmaid specific line that celebrates all of our findings so far and we are so excited to share it with everyone!”
