Prada and Adidas have released a first look at their highly-anticipated collaboration.

Having first teased their partnership earlier this month, the fashion label and sports brand have now unveiled products from their limited-edition joint range, which will be available to purchase early next month.

The two items are the Prada for Adidas limited-edition shoe, which is an updated version of the Adidas signature Originals Superstar trainer, and a bowling bag, which sees the classic Prada bowling bag and the adidas gym bag combined.

The Adidas Originals Superstar trainer was originally created 50 years ago, becoming a popular item of footwear among more than 75 per cent of NBA players within a few years of its launch.

The press release for the Prada x Adidas collaboration states that the trainer “does not require being re-designed” because it has “crossed boundaries and challenged definitions through five decades”.

The trainer’s design has been tweaked slightly to incorporate Prada by combining the Italian fashion house’s full-grain leather for the upper of the shoe with the signature Adidas Originals rubber shell toe.

It has also been designed featuring the Prada logo on the side and both brands' logos on the trainer’s tongue.

The Prada bowling bag for Adidas has been created using leather for the bag and a sports nylon strap, featuring the “twinned logos” of Prada and Adidas Originals.

Both products have been created in black and white in order to be “sharp”, “simple” and “immediately recognisable”.

The range is due to be made available to consumers from Wednesday 4 December on adidas.com and prada.com.

The launch will offer 700 limited-edition pieces, with footwear and accessories all being numbered with unique serial numbers.

While there is no word yet on what the products will cost, the Adidas Superstar shoes on sale for adults on the sports brand's website range in price from £44.98 to £119.95.
