From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

While German designer Karl Lagerfeld is shooting the iconic Pirelli calendar in Paris this week, a picture of the participating models has been leaked via Twitter.

The photo posted by Brazilian supermodel Isabeli Fontana - which has since been removed after it appeared on the Brazilian Quem website - showed herself alongside her colleagues including Magdalena Frackowiak, Heidi Mount, Natasha Poly, and Bianca Balti.

According to blogs such as Fashionologie, Lara Stone and Julianne Moore are also rumored to be part of the cast.

Pirelli's calendar is considered the most exclusive pin-up calendar of the world, since it cannot be bought and is only distributed to the brand's clients and VIPs in very limited quantities.

Lagerfeld joins the ranks of star photographers Patrick Demarchelier, Bruce Weber and last year's Terry Richardson - currently the center of a controversy surrounding his provocative images and shooting 'methods' - who have all shot for Pirelli.

But the Kaiser's calendar will probably look different than past versions: he is reportedly working in his Paris studio because "it's too obvious to have a beach setting."
