Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson has appeared on the catwalk in Alexander Wang's spring 2020 fashion show.

The comedian made his runway debut for the American fashion designer at Rockefeller Centre in New York City.

He wore a white tank top, a backwards-facing black baseball hat and monochrome trousers for the catwalk, finishing off the look with an Alexander Wang logo belt and black trainers.

He was greeted with cheers from the audience, which included fashion industry professionals and members of the public.

The 25-year-old was joined on the outdoor runway by distinguished models including Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber.

After the show, Wang shared a photograph of himself and Davidson on Instagram.

This wasn't the first time Davidson has been spotted wearing Wang's designs.

In August 2018, the comedian appeared on the cover of Variety magazine wearing the designer's platinum car patch sweatshirt.

Earlier this year, Davidson spoke out about why he decided to leave social media following concerns for his mental health.

The comedian explained to Variety that going online "doesn't make [him] very happy".

After returning to Instagram in April, over the weekend Davidson wiped his account clean again.
