Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

GQ's list of most stylish men is maybe the only ranking that can compare to Vogue's best-dressed women, and Robert Pattinson, Johnny Depp, and Brad Pitt all make the cut - now it's your turn to vote for your most stylish man online in order to determine the final winner.

The list of 25 fashionable men in showbusiness includes personalities from the fields of sports (David Beckham, LeBron James, Cristiano Ronaldo), music (Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, Pete Doherty) and acting (Clint Eastwood, Daniel Day-Lewis, Ed Westwick). Fashion fans, however, are likely to miss a few icons of their industries, such as designer Tom Ford or magazine mogul Jefferson Hack.

Here is the complete list of candidates, complete with a short caption by GQ describing their personal style:

Robert Pattinson: "the best head of hair on the planet"
André Benjamin (Outkast): "the master of constant reinvention"
Russell Brand: "the outrageous British comic likes it all shrunken"
Tom Brady: "the power of the rugged look"
Ryan Gosling: "the best underdressed man in Hollywood"
Paul Simonon: "proof that a well-cocked hat is never out of style"
LA Reid: "the explanation for the Power Suit"
Spike Jonze: "why a man should always rock a tie"
David Byrne: "the man in white"
Lapo Elkann: "seriously aggressive style"
David Beckham: "because style ain't always about the clothes"
Ichiro Suzuki: "defying typical major league style"
Daniel Day-Lewis: "best-dressed Englisman"
Clint Eastwood: "Hall of Famer"
Pharrell Williams: "reinvigorating the American prep movement and hip hop"
Cristiano Ronaldo: "why every man needs a formfitting polo"
Pete Doherty: "the musician who really makes a suit rock"
LeBron James: "even a king-size man needs to understand fit"
Ed Westwick: "going from garish to grown-up"
Brad Pitt: "nails the five elements of flawless black tie"
Justin Townes Earle: "pulls together the DIY suit"
Jude Law: "the new British rake"
Jay-Z: "tops it off with his shades of power"
Johnny Depp: "at the top of his game"
Anderson Cooper: "can't miss minimalism"
