Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.British supermodel Kate Moss will celebrate the launch of her first handbag range for French luxe brand Longchamp with a party at The Ritz in Paris January 27. A making-of of her upcoming campaign can already be watched online.
Moss, who posed in the label's ads for years, reportedly worked with Longchamp's creative director Sophie Delafontaine to create the bags, which center around the three themes of Rock'n'Casual, Rock'n'Travel and Rock'n'Glam.
The collection comprises models ranging from party clutches to shoppers and travel bags, all in red and black leather as well as zebra prints.
Rather than a one-off celebrity-endorsed line, a phenomenon that has become common and maybe too common recently, the French luxe brand is aiming for a more long-term partnership with two collections per year.
The first lot hits Longchamp boutiques and a few select department stores (Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Selfridges in London) worldwide on February 11.

According to reports, British indie band Queens of Noize will perform at the launch at The Ritz. The luxury hotel is one the hotspots of this season's couture week, with Russian top model Natalia Vodianova hosting her Etam lingerie launch there on January 25.
