Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

The US lingerie brand's model lineup for its next fashion show, due to be taped November 19, includes fresh-faced Chanel Iman and other newcomers, while Heidi Klum takes a pass.

According to E! News, however, Klum -- who gave birth to daughter Lou just a few weeks ago -- will participate in another way: by hosting the show, a task the supermodel should be familiar with, having hosted TV programs such as Project Runway and Germany's Next Top Model.

Victoria's Secret 'veterans' Klum, Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, and Doutzen Kroes will be joined as spokesmodels by Emanuela de Paula, Lindsay Ellingson, Candice Swanepoel, Chanel Iman and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, as announced November 4. All of them have previously modeled for the brand.

The choice of Iman and Huntington-Whiteley is striking since both models have been building a name for themselves in high fashion, indicating an increasing fusion between couture and pin-up.

Victoria's Secret's show, taking place in New York on November 19, will be aired on December 1 at 10/9C on CBS.
