With just over a week to go until the V&A opens its doors to the highly-anticipated Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition, the London museum has released a new thrilling teaser film.
The exhibition, which opens on 14 March, has had record sales, releaseing extra tickets and extending the event by two weeks to cope with the demand.
Visitors are expected to attend from around the world to see the ground-breaking work of Lee Alexander McQueen.
Savage Beauty will feature over 200 retrospective pieces by the late British fashion designer, including 30 new pieces not seen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, where the exhibition was originally staged in 2011.
At the time, the exhibition attracted over 661,000 visitors and sold over 100,000 copies of the accompanying catalogue.
It is not surprising that the exhibition’s homecoming has resulted in record breaking sales for the V&A with the new trailer helping to build excitement ahead of the opening.
