At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

To celebrate 50 years of success, the Italian tyre manufacturer praises the world’s supermodels, exposing them in a sexy, yet discreet photoshoot by renowned fashion photographers Patrick Demarchelier and Peter Lindbergh.
The aesthetically-pleasing beauties are seen in three different looks: wearing black corsets, black oversized jumpers as well as men white shirts, while standing on their naked feet and Louboutin black stilettos respectively. Smokey make-up embraces the shoot of black outfits, while natural fresh faces embrace the white and clean group photos.
Other stars to appear in the anniversary edition are Helena Christensen, Alek Wek, Karolina Kurkova and Isabeli Fontana. The gang pose up-close to one another in a pared-down group shot, showing the models unusually covered, which feels a move away from the nudity for which the calendar had become famous.
For the exclusive anniversary, Pirelli went for a simple shoot gathering six of Pirelli's biggest advocates and two of the most praised fashion photographers.
Peter Lindbergh relives his iconic 90s black and white photographs of the original supermodels, including Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Naomi Campbell, in the shoot.
There has been confusion that these images are for the 2014 Pirelli calendar after Miranda Kerr posted on her Instagram account the picture with the hashtag #Pirelli2014. However, this is not the case, as none of the information about next year's calendar has been released and this was just a celebration shoot.
