Oscars 2015 dresses: Red carpet misses

From Lady Gaga's gloves to Scarlett Johansson's shaved head, our roundup of the most controversial looks at the 2015 Oscars.

It's the biggest night of the year for red carpet dressing, but not everyone gets it right - there are inevitably a few fashion fails

Unfortunately for the unlucky guests who fail to impress in the sartorial stakes - it's often these more controversial gowns that are the ones they are remembered for.

At the 2015 Oscars whilst there were no outright disasters, there were a few 'love or hate' outfits.

First up was Felicity Jones who wore a silver gown custom made by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. An exquisite look no doubt but perhaps just a little too overwhelming in style and size on a slight Jones.

Scarlett Johansson wore an emerald green gown by Versace, whilst the dress is perfectly nice it was the oversized necklace and Johansson's newly shaved head that raised some brows.

Lady Gaga is never one to shy away from making a statement in the wardrobe department. For the Oscars it was a white beaded Alaia dress the first custom made gown to ever be made by the designer. Again it wasn't the gown that was at issue here but Gaga's choice of accessory - red gloves that were somewhat reminiscent of a pair of marigolds.
