Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Packing a washbag may soon be a thing of the past, thanks to a new US website that delivers hotel toiletries before arrival.

Suite Arrival, founded by frequent fliers, will ship a prepacked toiletry box for men or women to any hotel in the US, so that it's waiting for guests when they arrive. Customers can choose from a selection of travel-size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, mouthwash, shaving cream, hairspray and moisturizers, from a variety of brands.

Packs are available in different sizes (Overnight/Long Weekend/A Week Away or "Road Warrior") and for different genders. Customers can select products from Gillette, Garnier, Head & Shoulders, Colgate, Pantene and TRESemme amongst other brands. Prices start at $14.99 (€11) and the product can currently be delivered to any mainland US hotel. The company confirmed to Relaxnews that it plans to expand to international destinations possibly as early as April. France and the UK are likely to be the initial European markets.

Suite Arrival's idea is a tweak of 3floz.com, a retailer that specializes in travel-ready beauty products for travelers. Suite Arrival's advantage is that it removes liquids from the luggage altogether - an idea likely to prove popular for travelers facing ever-increasing restrictions in airports.
