Facehunter publishes 'prey' in first book

Following in the steps of international colleagues including New York-based The Sartorialist or the German Stil in Berlin, streetstyle blogger Yvan Rodic, aka the Facehunter, has announced the release of his first book.

After four years of traveling the world for the best looks, his book - entitled Facehunter - will showcase a selection of the 300 best outfits, commented by Rodic.

The launch is part of a trend of bloggers turning their sites into brands, with The Sartorialist (thesartorialist.blogspot.com) and Stil in Berlin (stilinberlin.blogspot.com) previously releasing their streetstyle photos in print.

Facehunter's international release dates are as follows:

France, French part of Belgium & Switzerland (Editions Thames & Hudson): February 2010
Germany, Austria & German part of Switzerland (Prestel): February 2010
UK & international (Thames & Hudson): March 2010
US & Canada (Prestel): April 2010

The book, priced at $24.95, will launch in an exclusive world preview at Paris concept store Colette on January 23, with Rodic signing copies there 4:30 - 6 pm. Preorders are now accepted via amazon.com, amazon.de, and amazon.co.uk.

Other new fashion photography releases include Olivier Theyskens: The Other Side of the Picture, Juergen Teller's Deste Fashion Collection, Rankin's Cheeky, and Karl Lagerfeld's The Beauty of Violence.
