Four finalists, including the creator of Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair, have been nominated for this year's in-cosmetics 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award, which is handed out during Paris beauty fair in-cosmetics in April, will honor a cosmetics expert for his "outstanding professional accomplishments and dedication to the field of cosmetic science."

This year's nominees include Dr. Alain Khaiat, credited for bringing together the Asian, American and European cosmetic markets, Dr. Karl Lintner, who is for the development of peptide technology, a leading solution to reducing signs of ageing, Dr. Daniel Maes, the creator of Estée Lauder's success Advanced Night Repair, and Dr. Johann Wiechers, whose Formulating for Efficacy approach - more effective products with fewer ingredients - is widely known in the field.

Public votes on the candidates are now accepted and can be submitted through March 31.

The trade-only in-cosmetics takes place April 13 - 15 at the Porte de Versailles in Paris.
