From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The British model Suki Waterhouse has made her Hollywood debut in Love, Rosie film.

The 22-year-old Burberry model and Bradley Cooper’s girlfriend plays Bethany Williams in the Brit flick alongside Lily Collins, Sam Claflin and Christian Cooke. Williams is a fittingly model with a bohemian style, unlike Waterhouse's classic looks, who gets involved with Rosie’s best friend Alex, just for Rosie to realise she is in love with him.

Both Collins and Waterhouse go back in time by wearing outfits that include hipster jeans, cami vests and pastel denim to fit the movie that is set a decade ago.

Waterhouse has played minor roles previously, like she did in the British crime thriller Pusher in 2012. However, this is her first major job in the big screen and the future looks bright for the aspiring actress as it’s been confirmed that she’ll play Marlene in Insurgent, the second film of the Divergent trilogy.

The film is the big screen adaptation of Where Rainbows End, a novel by Cecelia Ahern, same author behind PS I Love You romantic drama.

Love, Rosie is set for release in October.
