Any fashion fans worth their magazine subscriptions will know that September is the most important month of the year and thus September issues of fashion magazines are the most prestigious.
US Vogue, headed up by Anna Wintour has been one of the last publications to officially release details on its upcoming issue which stars Beyonce.
The images are shot by Mario Testino and sees Beyonce sporting a sheer embroidered dress by Marc Jacobs, a major coup for the American designer.
The magazine stands are set for battle this month with an impressive array of cover stars; Katy Perry has landed the cover of US Harper's Bazaar, Kristen Stewart covers both NYLON and UK Elle Magazine. Keira Knightely stars on the cover of US Elle, Marie Claire has scored Miley Cyrus. Emma Watson for UK Vogue and Taylor Swift fronts Vanity Fair.
Beyonce is a major coup for US Vogue; though not her first cover for the publication - she previously appeared in April 2009 and March 2013 - the singer reportedly hasn't given an interview in over a year.
The Beyonce cover also marks a positive step in the direction of improving diversity of models and cover stars in the fashion world as the remainder of September issues feature predominately white women.
