Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. Here are three of the most-anticipated fashion book releases this fall.
The life of Carine, by Olivier
News of a biography of the editor of French Vogue has set the fashion blogosphere abuzz: edited by Purple magazine's Olivier Zahm (whose aesthetic but often pornographic blog outrages some in the same way as Terry Richardson does), the probably picture-heavy tome is set to be released by Rizzoli this fall.
Ode to the bomb
Speaking of biographies, Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto will launch a book with publishers, Ludion on his life, entitled My Dear Bomb (referring to an explosion of creativity), in October, featuring "short fiction mostly based on live voice, accompanied by some vivid flashbacks of his key moments."
Bohemian bible
Matthew Williamson, the king of the sophisticated bohemian look - made famous partially by his muse Sienna Miller - will release a new book on his career so far come October. Editorial images highlighting his collections, celebrity fashion shoots, as well as mood boards and sketches will help fans of the designer in understanding his creative universe.
