At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Panellist Nadia Sawalha previously revealed their plans to make a bold appearance at the awards ceremony, saying that she usually finds the prospect of being photographed on a red carpet extremely nerve-wracking.
“We are doing things a bit differently this year,” she told Daily Star Online. “All of the Loose Women are going to the awards together.”
“We are all wearing proper trouser suits and we are a united force – we are all going to be holding hands together.”
The television presenter continued, explaining that their joint appearance on the red carpet was very timely considering the increased focus on women’s issues in the media over the past year.
“When you think about everything that has gone on, there has been so much about women power over the past year, I think there is something really powerful about us all going together and holding hands united,” Sawalha said.
“I absolutely hate red carpets more than anything else in the world but the thing that makes the NTAs fun is that it is the Loose Women going out together – we love going out together.”
On the night of the event on 22 January, Loose Women panellists Jane Moore, Andrea McLean, Coleen Nolan, Stacey Solomon, Saira Khan and Sawalha stayed true to their word by dressing in striking black trouser suits.
McLean revealed on Instagram that she’d been unable to join her colleagues for their red carpet photo op due to “car chaos”.
Several people have been complimenting the talk show hosts on their choice of outfits.
“Absolutely love a trouser suit. Definitely my favourite looks from the night!” one person commented on a post shared on the Loose Women Instagram account.
“Squad goals!” another person remarked.
Another talking point from the National Television Awards was Emma Willis’ hair transformation.
The Voice presenter debuted her new, peroxide blonde hairstyle on the red carpet, and many of her fans expressed their admiration for her stylish look.
“You looked absolutely stunning on the NTA tonight Emma . Loving the new hair colour,” one person wrote.
