Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Following on from New York and London, the time has come for the fashion pack to descend upon Italy’s cobbled streets for Milan Fashion Week.

With some of the industry’s most esteemed luxury brands on the schedule – Gucci, Prada and Fendi, to name a few – Milan is the favoured fashion week among celebrities, many of whom will either work with or be ambassadors for the labels on the lineup.

Dakota Johnson, for example, is a regular on the front row at Gucci while Versace always attracts an A-list crowd.

Thus far, we’ve seen plenty of famous faces grace the runway at the Prada show, which took place on Wednesday afternoon.

Alexa Chung sat alongside rapper A$AP Rocky and Vogue editor Anna Wintour while fashion influencers Susie Lau and Chiara Ferragni joined them in their best Prada-appropriate ensembles.

Victoria Beckham releases video on the making of her fashion company

Even Big Little Lies star Nicole Kidman made an appearance at the show, wearing a long-sleeved gown complete with black, red and green illustrations.

On Sunday morning, actor Dylan Sprouse sat alongside girlfriend and Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin at BOSS. Come the afternoon, it was time for the Gucci show, where Sienna Miller mingled alongside Iggy Pop and Hari Nef.
