Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Less than six months since Greg and Amber were crowned winners of Love Island 2019, the show is back on UK screens – as, for the first time in history, ITV treats fans to a winter series filmed in Cape Town.
Unlike the summer series, which normally airs in June, this one will be taking place while it’s still dark, wet and cold in Britain.
But that isn’t dampening enthusiasm for the contestant’s summer wardrobes – less than 24 hours since coupling up, viewers are already talking about how they can get their hands on the islanders’ signature style.
We might not be going on holiday any time soon, but there’s nothing wrong with stocking up your wardrobe – especially if you can get things cheaper in the January sales.
But is there an easy way of tracking down the exact items seen on the show?
In 2018, Love Island partnered with Missguided, prompting a 40 per cent rise in sales for the online retailer, and seeing some items spike as much as 500 per cent in sales. In 2019, the show had a similar partnership with Manchester-based brand, I Saw It First.
Last week I Saw It First announced it would be continuing the partnership for the winter series. In a statement, brand director, Leanne Holmes, said the brand’s aesthetic “perfectly aligns” with that of Love Island.
Fans can already get their hands on several of the items worn in the contestant’s press shots and in the first episode, including Siannise’s cream and gold swimsuit.
The brand, who updated its Instagram after the first show, also have Eve’s black dress available to buy.
Fans can also get their hands on Shaughna’s orange sarong (£25) and perspex mules (£65), as well as Eve and Jess’ high-waisted shorts (£30).
