Fashion fans have been queuing through the night in hopes of getting their hands on the much anticipated Kenzo x H&M collection.
The high end and high street brands announced their collaboration back in May, revealing a showcase of pattern-heavy, colourful designs but now the wait is finally over.
Despite the vivid prints, the collaboration has proved a huge hit with queues reminiscent of those from last year’s Balmania which resulted in the closure of H&M’s Oxford Street branch.
Launching at 9am this morning in selected stores and online both were flooded with devoted shoppers.
Colossal queues lined up outside stores with reports that some people had been camping out since 10pm last night in a bid to get a first look at the collection launched this morning.
While braving the cold might seem extreme, those who camped out may be glad they did as online shoppers have been unable to access the collection website.
For many this meant being greeted by a message that read, “'We are here for you! The Kenzo x H&M collection is launching and you might experience a fashionable waiting time. However, we will do our best to serve you as soon as possible.”
The collaboration between the high end design house and the Swedish high street giant means that fashion fans can scoop one of Carol Lim and Humberto Leon’s covetable designs at a fraction of their usual price but with eBay super-sellers on the prowl, many will be left disappointed.
A fortnight ahead of the launch there were already pre-orders for some of the collections most sought after pieces and new listings have been popping up by the dozen.
One such item, the Kenzo x H&M blue folkloric dress, originally costs £149.99 but is being sold via the online auction site anywhere from £250 to £499.
