Pearls, broderie anglaise and plenty of tulle
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. If you're hoping to use all that pub money you've saved to spruce up your post-lockdown wardrobe, the latest H&M designer collaboration has arrived.
In the past, the high street retailer has collaborated with the likes of Kenzo, Moschino and Balmain.
This time, the clothing giant worked with London-based label Simone Rocha on a collection of womenswear, menswear and kidswear.
The full collection features tulle dresses, wool cardigans embellished with pearls and day dresses in organic cotton with broderie anglaise detailing.
Simone Rocha is known for her delicate, feminine designs and this is the label's first foray into menswear and childrenswear.
The collection's tulle dresses come in pinks, tartan and classic black, and are designed to layer over other items in the collection, such as slim dresses, to check trousers and short cloque dresses.
Classic Simone Rocha elements are visible throughout the collection, including: frills, tinsels, sparkling embellishments, floral motifs and spherical cut-outs.
The designer's menswear debut includes riffs on Simone Rocha's classics. The collection's trench coat features pearl embellishments on the collar, while a vibrant checked blazer can be paired with matching drawstring trousers.
The childrenswear in the collection includes miniaturised versions of some of her classics, including smocks and frill dresses. The tartan found elsewhere in the collection also features in tiny dungarees.
Rocha said the collection is designed to be worn "out and about", and that it is inspired by ideas that have shaped the label over the last decade.
She said: "I hope that the items in this collection will be worn and treasured for years to come.
"They were all informed by ideas and inspirations that have shaped me and my brand over the last 10 years, and I am so excited to see them worn out-and-about and interpreted and styled in new ways.”
The majority of the women`s collection will be available in sizes EU 34 to 44/46 (UK size 6-16/18), childrenswear will come in sizes 98/104,110/116 and 122/128 (ages 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8) and most of the men`s collection will be available in sizes EU 46 to 52/54 (UK 36-42/44).
It comes after H&M released campaign imagery featuring Normal People actress Daisy Edgar-Jones and models Adwoa and Kesewa Aboah and Tess McMillan last month. Edgar-Jones was photographed wearing the puff-sleeve smock dress from the collection.
The Simone Rocha x H&M collection launches today (11 March), marking Simone Rocha’s 10-year anniversary, and will be available at hm.com and in selected stores.
