The stars of Game of Thrones have walked the red carpet at the premiere of the show’s final season.

On Wednesday, actors including Gwendoline Christie and Sophie Turner to Kit Harrington and Peter Dinklage gathered at New York’s Radio City Music Hall as they prepared to say farewell to the fantasy epic in style.

Among the stars at the premiere was Emilia Clarke, who has played character Daenerys Targaryen since the show's inception in 2011.

The actor wore a voluminous blue chiffon gown for the occasion, finishing her look with a subtle red eye and dark-hued lip.

Gwendoline Christie, who plays the formidable warrior Brienne Of Tarth on Game Of Thrones, delivered one of the most striking looks on the red carpet, wearing a flowing Iris Van Harpen gown.

Other standout looks of the night came from Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams, who play sisters Sansa and Arya Stark on the hit show.

The pair posed for pictures together, with Williams wearing a floor-length black gown with silver ruffle details.

Turner sported a knee-length black dress that featured a fitted bodice covered in stars and a polka dot skirt.

Game Of Thrones season eight will contain six episodes and will finally bring an end to the saga of who will rule Westeros.

It will air on Sky Atlantic in the UK beginning on 14 April.
