Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Ever since the launch of Fenty Beauty in September last year, the hype surrounding it has showed no signs of slowing.
Now, having reached cult status with a 40-shade foundation range, showstopping highlighters and a rainbow of matte lipsticks, Rihanna has unveiled the second release of its Summer 2018 Collection Beach, Please!
Following the April launch of glitter-drenched body shimmers, this drop continues an exploration of glistening, reflective hues that are perfect for hot summer days and nights.
Here, we take a look at every single product you can get your hands on right now.
Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Duo, £28, Harvey Nichols
Just when you thought Fenty Beauty had reached peak highlighter, Rihanna has upped the game with three new duos that have the same weightless, longwear formula as the original.
This time, the products come in eye-popping shades that look great on all skin tones, including Mimosa Sunrise and Sangria Sunset, Sand Castle and Mint’d Mojito, and 7Daywknd and Poolside.
“I’ve never been afraid of a little colour and I love highlighting with these,” says Rihanna.
“I like to layer the colours and blend from my cheeks to my eyes to my temples.”
Island Bling 2-in-1 Liquid Eye Shimmer, £22, Harvey Nichols
Forget matte eyeshadows, this summer it’s all about creamy, shimmering formulas – and these two-in-one dual-ended liquid eyeshadows tick all the boxes.
Designed with a sleek, metallic shimmer on one side and an iridescent glitter topcoat on the other, you can wear them on their own or layer together to create a brand new shade.
Available in two different shades: Summer Fling – a deep metallic bronze – and Reignbow – an iridescent gold.
Summer Daze & Summer Nights Iridescent Lip Luminizer Trio, £24, Harvey Nichols
Following in the footsteps on the brand’s original Gloss Bomb, Fenty Beauty has launched two trios of colour-flipping lip glosses including bright, iridescent finishes – Summer Daze – and dramatic, holographic sheens – Summer Nights.
Referred to as “wearable special effects”, the glosses offer a vivid shot of colour yet apply clear with a megadose of pearlescent shimmer. Wear them alone or over a matte lipstick for endless combinations.
The second release of Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Beach, Please! Summer 2018 Collection will be available from 21 May 2018 at Harvey Nichols and harveynichols.com.
