The Fashion Audit: Karen's cool / Edible accessories / Painted-on pins
What we love, we're not sure about, we're buying and can't wait for...
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. We love… Karen's cool
High-street stores usually have a typical customer: Miss Selfridge's are teenyboppers, Coast's are wedding guests, and Karen Millen's are footballer's-wife types. This season the last is shaking off its WAG roots with edgy campaign images shot by David Bailey and styled by Katy England.

We can't wait for… Magpie market
If diamonds are your best friend then Goldsmiths' Fair should be your hangout. Rarely do so many independent jewellery designers come together all in one handy shopping spot. For two weeks the London venue will host a treasure trove of jewels from up-and-coming talents and established names.

We're visiting… McQueen's makeover
Alexander McQueen has had the decorators in at its flagship London store. The store is full of the beloved brand's nature-inspired signatures such as wings and monster claws on furnishings, and plaster panels in the shape of the famous armadillo shoe.
